Marc Wray, Managing Partner

Marc has over 24 years' experience in advising clients with respect to business strategies, merchant banking and acting as an adviser to many boards. In particular, his experience includes covering businesses in the Americas, Europe and Southern Africa. Marc’s background comes from working in strategy consulting for The Monitor Company in Boston, to Private Equity in Dallas, Boston and with Columbia Financial Partners in New York City. He has also worked for major banks as an investment banker in New York and London. In London, for example, he was the coverage banker for UBS paper and packaging where he worked and wrote a fairness opinion for a 1.3 billion euro merger of two Portuguese paper firms.

Currently, Marc serves as a director on a number of boards in both executive and non-executive capacities. He started MW Ventures in Feb 2008 having previously worked independently. Marc has worked in a variety of industries as an adviser/banker and just recently successfully completed the sale of a London-based training business where he was advisor and a non-executive director.

Marc holds an MBA from New York University, where he was offered a scholarship and then accepted honours upon graduation. Previously he graduated with a BSc in Economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where we was also accepted to their Masters programme without taking the Graduate Record Exam. Marc has been qualified by the Financial Services Authority in the UK and the Securities and Exchange Commission in the USA as well as being approved as a main board director of insurance businesses in the states of Florida and Texas.
